Eric Alnor

Hello and welcome! My name is Eric Alnor and I am an assistant director of admissions responsible for the New England states. Thank you for taking time to visit this site, and for your interest in Dickinson College.

As a graduate of a small, competitive, liberal-arts school, I have a deep appreciation for the learning that students receive here at Dickinson, as it takes place both in and out of the classroom. I also appreciate how challenging the college-search process can be, but please know that it is my job to make it as enjoyable and informative as possible. Thinking back to my own college search, I distinctly recall my parents sharing their wish for me: that I would find a college that actively cultivated my love for learning. I will be more than happy to show you how Dickinson College can do this for you through its engaging, global approach to education.

Before coming to Dickinson, I spent more than six years in outside sales, working for such organizations as Xerox and Otis Elevator. While doing so was a rewarding experience, I became increasingly aware of my desire to work with students. This desire, coupled with my passion for higher education, drove me to pursue a graduate degree in college counseling, which I am presently completing. My dedication to helping students is something I happily share, so please feel free to contact me at any time. My goal is to learn about you, what your interests and passions are, and what specifically you desire from your college experience. Once I understand your priorities, we will explore together and decide if Dickinson College is the right school for you.
