Academic Scholarships at Dickinson

Dickinson College is pleased to announce the Benjamin Rush, John Dickinson and John Montgomery scholarships and the Stafford Scholarship for life sciences. Awarded at the time of admission to the top students in the incoming first-year class, the scholarships are based on academic achievement in high school, standardized test scores and demonstrated leadership in school and community activities.

Dickinson is committed to recognizing superior talent and service, regardless of financial need, as it seeks to assemble a student body that will benefit from and contribute to the distinctive characteristics of the college—global engagement, hands-on learning across the curriculum and access to an outstanding network of alumni accomplishment. No additional application is required. Notification of winners will be made at the time of admission.

Dickinson, Rush and Montgomery, all prominent figures in the American Revolution, created our college in 1783 with the mission of education in the liberal arts for the purpose of building a new nation. We still pursue the mission of educating students who will, like our founders, be leaders, discoverers and creators in their local, national and global communities. John Montgomery, John Dickinson and Benjamin Rush scholars are students who epitomize Dickinson College's desire not to be an ivory tower but to engage the world.
