Jorja Waybrant, Assistant Director of Advising
Coordinator of Disability Services

Education: Jorja Waybrant has an undergraduate degree in History from Shippensburg University, and M.Ed. in Special Education from Shippensburg University.

Formerly employed with the Lincoln Intermediate Unit No. 12 Migrant Education Program, she served fifteen years as a liaison between the Program Director, the Lincoln Intermediate Unit, and the State Department of Education in relation to budgetary/fiscal matters. LIU is part of a three-tiered educational system developed in the state of Pennsylvania to serve students with disabilities. After completing an undergraduate degree in History, Jorja pursued a M.Ed. in Special Education while working as a substitute teacher in various inclusive, support, and isolated classrooms in order to provide instruction and support to students with learning disabilities, AD/HD, emotional disorders, mental retardation, multiple disabilities, Autism, Aspergers, Tourette Syndrome, and others. While completing her M.Ed. she served as a learning specialist at Shippensburg University where she provided academic support to college students with learning disabilities and students on academic probation. She also served as a peer tutor for undergraduate, graduate, and English as a Second Language (ESL) students.
