GUIDELINES FOR
ASSIGNING
ADVANCED PLACEMENT/CREDIT
Below are the guidelines that Dickinson College
uses to assign placement and/or credit for Advanced Placement tests. If you
have not already done so, contact the College Board at 1-877-274-6474 to have
your official scores sent to Dickinson.
The Placement column indicates what
course level(s) you are eligible to take according to the score you received
on the placement test. "None" means you have to start at the 100
level.
The Credit column designates the
course(s) for which you will receive college credit according to your placement
test score. This credit may also count toward specific degree requirements,
unless noted otherwise.
For any "See Department" comments, you
should contact the individual department to determine your placement or
credit.
NOTE: * - This change in credit awarded for Art AP scores of 4 and 5 will take affect beginning with students entering in Fall 2009.
